Carbon Credits

Our project, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) under MITE Inc. focuses on reducing carbon emissions in the mining industry and restoring post-mining sites into carbon credit ventures.

Project ESG

Reducing mining's carbon footprint, addressing Ghana's environmental damage, and improving global ESG standards for a sustainable future.

Coproduction of Biofuels

Efficient biodiesel production by linking transesterification with glycerol derivatization, tapping into the growing global glycerol market.

Agro Women Africa

Empowering women farmers in Africa through innovative technology, promoting gender-inclusive agriculture for transformative impact.

Project ESG

Investors are increasingly applying non-financial factors such as ESG standards as part of their analysis process to identify risks and growth opportunities. Mining, being essential to modern life and the transition to clean energy, requires a framework to offset its unintended consequences. The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that mineral production needs to grow six-fold to combat climate change by 2050. Therefore, the world needs a path forward to ensure environmental, social, and economic justice accompany mineral extraction.

Our Opportunity to Make a Difference

MITE Inc. recognizes the opportunity to contribute to the global shift towards clean energy and solve the problems hindering this transition. We aim to address the following key areas:

  1. Improving Working Conditions and Compensation: Local laborers in gold mining, farming, and forestry will benefit from education measures and opportunities to work in an environment that does not pollute water bodies and the natural ecosystem. Emphasis will be placed on land reclamation, equipment management, and providing individuals with technical skills to participate in clean energy initiatives.
  2. Aligning with Global Environmental Goals: Farmers and forestry landowners will be incentivized to reduce their carbon footprint. Our goals align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and support addressing environmental pollution. Incentives such as education, access to reliable energy and internet connectivity, and earning extra money will be provided to maintain farming and forestry activities.

Carbon Credits as an Asset Class

Carbon credits are poised to become an important asset class as governments and NGOs worldwide acknowledge climate change as a systemic risk. The Paris Agreement, signed by 196 parties in 2015, aimed to limit global warming below 2 degrees Celsius and lower GHG emissions. To meet these targets, organizations are implementing policies focused on carbon taxes, carbon offsets, and carbon allowances. Even corporations operating in industries without emissions regulations are setting net zero targets and entering the voluntary carbon market to purchase offsets.

Consumer Consciousness and Net Zero Targets

The growing consumer consciousness regarding climate change has prompted corporations to set net zero targets. Becoming net zero can be used as a branding tool to capture market share, increase prices, and differentiate a product offering. In this context, MITE Inc. aims to utilize technology and a pay-by-plant rate system to increase reforestation and farming success, creating a sustainable economy. We specifically work with Canadian mining businesses to improve their environmental and carbon credit standards.

Opportunity for Farmers and Forestry

MITE Inc. seeks participation from farmers and forestry landowners. By planting CO2 storage plants like teak and other timbers, we can invest money in landowners and the labor force. Cash crops and food security will be prioritized for farmers and landowners. Our platform brings together multiple participants, allowing us to access the projected $5 billion USD funding available over the next two years. Participating in our platform will cost landowners no money, and they will be compensated based on land size and the amount of planting achieved. Landowners retain full control and ownership, while our platform verifies their ownership status, assists with the planting process, and ensures fair compensation.

Coproduction Of Biofuels

Global population growth has intensified the energy crisis, leading to the depletion of fossil fuel supplies. In response, the demand for renewable energy sources has surged. Biodiesel has emerged as a prominent renewable energy solution, produced as a major product alongside glycerol, a by-product of the transesterification process. Our project focuses on coproducing biodiesel and glycerol derivatives in Canada, aiming for an efficient and sustainable approach to clean fuel production.

Our coproduction project offers a range of benefits that contribute to a sustainable future:
